↑ Wisconsin freshman Nela Lopušanová – The Slovakia native scored her first NCAA hat trick before 15 minutes had elapsed in UW's Saturday game against St. Cloud State. But she wasn't done, scoring two more goals and adding an assist for a total of five goals and six points in the game. Her numbers tied a program record set by Hilary Knight. She's also the second ever rookie to accomplish the feat.

↓ Hocky East Offense – Half the conference is averaging fewer than two goals scored per game. Maine, Vermont, Providence, Holy Cross and Boston University have all struggled to light the lamp so far this season. And UConn is in the bottom third of the country, averaging just 2.20 goals per game.

↑ Honoring the past – During Saturday’s game with RPI, Cornell recognized their 1975-76 team, which won the first-ever Ivy League tournament, securing the program's first Ivy League championship 50 years ago. The first women's hockey team at Cornell was formed in 1971.

↓ Overlapping World Championship games – I found more to quibble with at the 2026 Women's World Championships that start on Friday in Denmark. The hosts added a second city and the teams are divided by their groups. Group A plays in Esbjerg while Group B is in Herning. And both groups are playing at the same time on several days throughout the tournament. It's going to be difficult enough to get to watch games not involving USA and Canada, but having simultaneous games means we're simply going to miss getting to see many of them.

↑ Princeton – The Tigers are 6-0 and off to the program's best-ever start. They're the lone undefeated team left in the country.
