↑ St. Cloud State defender Regan Bulger – The fifth year senior scored her first career goal on Friday in her 95th career game. It proved to be the game-winner for the Huskies. Fun fact: The past two seasons, Regan was the only player in DI women's hockey from the Northwest Territories (I haven't done this year's demo breakdown yet).

↓ Colgate – It was a rough weekend for the Raiders, who lost 3-0 and 8-0 to #1 Ohio State. The Raiders were riding a 6-0 start to the season, but were ground to a halt by the Buckeyes, who outshot them 83-24 over the two games.

↑ International hockey this week! – Canada and the US will play Wednesday and Friday at 7 p.m. Eastern on NHL Network as part of their warm up for the IIHF Women's World Championships that start November 6. It's also the third stop of the Women's Euro Hockey Tour (WEHT). This stop is known as the Lidl Hockey Games and take place in Sweden this weekend. You may be able to find Sweden feeds via SVT. Finland games can usually be watched for free online via TVKaista. Wednesday's game is scheduled on the TV5 channel. Commentary, of course, in Finnish.

↓ Minnesota State, Wisconsin and Minnesota Duluth – The Mavericks have the worst penalty kill in the country, having allowed 12 goals in 28 attempts, for a .429 kill. Wisconsin has the third-worst PK, allowing six goals in 20 tries for a 30% opponent success rate. On the other side of that coin, Minnesota Duluth has been brutal on the power play, failing to score a single goal in sixteen opportunities. On the plus side, they've only a single power play goal, but for a team that has to find additional offense this year, it's a bad time for the power play to go dormant.

↑ Upsets – The upsets keep coming. I'm always Team Chaos and early results this year make me feel like we're in for a fun and unpredictable season. This week is was unranked Boston College over #12 Cornell on Friday and then unranked Minnesota State took down newly #15 ranked BC on Monday.
