  • Northeastern made an emphatic point this weekend with a sweep of UConn, putting them 12 points clear of the other Huskies at the top of Hockey East with eight games left in the regular season.
  • In the AHA, Penn State secured their fourth-straight regular-season title with a full month left in the season.
  • As if to illustrate what they'd be missing, Wisconsin's Olympians combined for 10 goals and 16 assists this past weekend.
  • Holy Cross not only earned their first wins over Providence, but their first sweep of the Friars, as well.
  • All kinds of opportunity to take the lead or create separation in NEWHA this weekend, but both Franklin Pierce and Saint Anselm were swept by teams below them in the standings.
  • Princeton lost ground in the ECAC after their 13-game win streak ended with a pair of losses. Quinnipiac is now atop the standings by a half point, with Princeton and Clarkson tied just behind them.
  • It will be interesting to see what happens to all the statistical categories with players off at the Olympics. Eight of the overall 11 top scorers will be in Italy, including four of the top five. The two top-scoring defenders are included in that list, as is the top-scoring freshman.
  • St. Thomas continues to have Ohio State's number. The Buckeyes eked out the OT win again, but kudos to the coaching staff of the Tommies for sussing out a way to reign OSU in again and again.
  • I continue to be unsure what to expect from Minnesota Duluth week to week. They have one win in the last eight games since the new year. They also have three ties, including one against No. 1 Wisconsin.
  • Goals of the week:

St. Lawrence's Mave O'Hagan scored her first career goal and it was a gorgeous play from the turnover to the shot

Colgate's Alexis Petford's game-winner on Friday

Gorgeous outlet pass from Sadie Makokis, better finish from Danika Botterill

Everyone knew Julia Schalin was shooting this and it still went in

One of three from Quinnipiac defender Makayla Watson's hat trick

Speaking of defender hat tricks, look at the movement and puck handling from KK Harvey's third goal on Saturday

I'm guessing that's not how Thea Johansson wanted to get her stick to the puck, but in the end it scored all the same

Stryker Zablocki's breakaway

And one special save of the week, by UConn's Tia Chan
