(Shoutout to Adam Steinbach and Drew Kohrs for providing a new stash of Stick Taps and Snark photos to use - thanks so much!)
↑ Milestones – KK Harvey had two assists on Friday, giving her 167 career points and tying her for most in WCHA history by a defensewoman. The record is held by Ronda Curtin Engelhardt, who played at Minnesota from 1999-2003. Apologies for missing this last week, but Saint Anselm earned their 400th program win on November 15.
↓ Harvard power play - The Crimson have yet to convert on special teams this year - they're 0-for-33. (On the plus side, opponents are converting just 10% against them.)
↑ Minnesota State – Mankato's sweep of #2 Minnesota over the weekend was impressive all on its own, but it takes on more significance with some history. Mankato is now 8-114-3 all-time against Minnesota, meaning this weekend's wins account for a quarter of all wins MSU has against the Gophers. The 3-1, and 4-1 wins this weekend are the only two times the Mavericks have ever beaten the Gophers by multiple goals. The Mavericks put together two nearly perfect games, executing their game plan and neutralizing Minnesota. These weren't stolen wins, they were deliberate and impressive. (Shoutout Kedrick Stumbris for this).
↓ St. Michael's – It's been a rough stretch for the Purple Knights, who've won just one game so far. They're the only team averaging less than a goal per game of offense and are last place in team defense, allowing 4.23 goals per game. They're also one of the most penalized teams in the country. One brighter spot has been the penalty kill, but I'm sure that group would love a break.
↑ Union – Their win over Cornell on Friday was just their third in program history. The Garnet Chargers are now 3-39-3 against the Big Red. They beat Cornell in November last year, but the other victory dates back to February 2004.
↑ Another shot – Ten undrafted players made PWHL active rosters out of camp this season, up from just one last season. Nine of the ten are from the NCAA programs (h/t Kyle Cushman)
