  • We're down to three undefeated teams as Brown defeated Quinnipiac last weekend, leaving Wisconsin, Cornell and Penn State as the last three standing.
  • St. Thomas and Providence played one of the more wild third periods I've watched in awhile. The Friars went in leading 5-2. The frame ended 6-6 and Providence took the overtime win 7-6.
  • The scoring continues to come in bunches as their were several more hat tricks this weekend, including a couple of natural ones with the goals coming one after the other.
  • From the things we don't see too often files: Wisconsin defeated Minnesota State 8-0 on Sunday while the Mavericks outshot the Badgers 29-26. Similarly, Colgate defeated Harvard 5-0 while being outshot 35-20.
  • The ECAC is shaping up to be really interesting now that the Ivies have joined things. Unranked Dartmouth beat #9 Colgate, unranked Brown beat #7 Quinnipiac. It's just really clear that no one is safe and every point is going to be hard-fought and important. I think we're going to see a lot more parity among these teams with a lot less clear cut lines between the top and bottom of the conference.
  • Goals of the week:

They way India McDadi just takes this puck back, circles around and puts it in the net for Brown.

When the coach is always saying "put pucks on the net and good things happen" and you roll your eyes but then this happens

Another really smooth steal and goal, this one from SCSU's Maélie Pion - the first of her career.

The angle on this goal from Princeton's Jane Kuehl is a little ridiculous

When the first one doesn't work, try something new.

Reichen Kirchmair was on fire this weekend

The timing and puck movement on this Wisconsin goal
