The Professional Women's Hockey League has announced its 72-game schedule, with each team playing 24 games in the regular season. The season begins on January 1 and concludes on May 5, with playoffs beginning the following week. The playoff format has not yet been announced.
The season includes two breaks, including one in February for the IIHF national team break (and the USA-Canada Rivalry Series), and one in April for the 2024 IIHF Women's World Championship in Utica, New York.
American and Canadian teams will compete five times against the other teams in their country.
The schedule is also structured so that games fall on every day of the week, with the majority on Saturdays (22) and Wednesdays (21). Each team will play each other team at least four times.
The primary venues for home games for each team were also confirmed:
- Boston: Tsongas Center (Lowell, Massachusetts)
- Minnesota: Xcel Energy Center (St. Paul, Minnesota)
- Ottawa: The Arena at TD Place (Ottawa, Ontario)
- Toronto: Mattamy Athletic Centre (Toronto, Ontario)
- Montreal: Verdun Auditorium (Montreal, Quebec) & Place Bell (Laval, Quebec)
- New York: Total Mortgage Arena (Bridgeport, Connecticut) & UBS Arena (Belmont Park, New York)
There are still a few games whose location is listed as "to be determined" – so it's possible that we could see additional venues in/near the home cities, or neutral site games.
New York will, as currently scheduled, play five home games in Bridgeport and four home games at UBS Arena, which is home of the New York Islanders. Towards the end of the regular season, they have several TBD game locations and these will likely be determined by whether the Islanders make the playoffs. If the Isles don't, PWHL New York could see their final few home games at UBS.
Montreal will play four home games at Place Bell and seven home games at Verdun Auditorium. One home game, on March 16, has a location TBD.
All of Minnesota's home games will take place at Xcel Energy Center with the exception of a single TBD location on February 27.
Boston will play all of their home games at Tsongas, with one TBD game location also on March 16.
Toronto and Ottawa will play each and every one of their home games at the same rink – Mattamy Athletic Centre for Toronto and TD Place for Ottawa.
Here's the full PWHL schedule for the inaugural season, subject to change. All times listed are in Eastern US time. Minnesota's games take place in the Central US time zone.

The PWHL website was also revamped yesterday, with each team getting its own standalone page. The pages are pretty bare bones right now and there aren't many differences between each team page, but they do contain updated listings about staff and rosters.
